National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD)

Created in 1978 with initial grants from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education, the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) is a consortium of community and technical colleges that share a philosophical commitment to support excellence in teaching, learning, and leadership. NISOD supports excellence in teaching and leadership at its member colleges each week by distributing professional development materials such as Innovation Abstracts to its members. We are excited about our future as we strive to be the premier source of innovative ideas for community and technical college faculty members, administrators, and staff.
