Historic Season Ends For Runnin' Rebels

HUTCHINSON, KAN. – The Hill College Runnin’ Rebels’ best season in 40 years came to an end on Wednesday night as they fell to Jones County Junior College 91-82 in the second round of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. With the loss, the Runnin’ Rebels finish in ninth place at the tournament, and end the season with a record of 26-8.

Hill College To Honor McGregor, Walls, & Powell at Ninth Annual Boots and Suits Ball

HILLSBORO, Texas. (March 18, 2014) –Hill College is hosting its ninth annual Boots and Suits Ball, 6 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at the Cleburne Conference Center in Cleburne, Texas. The evening will feature a live and silent auction, dinner, dancing and entertainment provided by the K2K Band from Arlington, Texas. This night of celebrating higher education and philanthropy will benefit the Hill College Athletic Training Program and scholarships for Hill College students in Hillsboro, Cleburne and Burleson for the coming academic year.

Baylor Bella Voce Women’s Ensemble to Perform at Hill College March 24

HILLSBORO – Baylor University has supported the Hill College Performing Arts Series with many performances over the years, including the symphony, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble and faculty brass quintet. This proud tradition continues at 7:30 p.m., Monday, March 24, in the Vara Martin Daniel Performing Arts Center with a performance by Baylor Bella Voce, a highly select women’s choral ensemble composed of music majors and non-majors.

40 Years in the Making

HILLSBORO – After 40 years in the wilderness, the Runnin’ Rebels Basketball program earned a berth into the National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan. Hill College’s two previous trips were 1971 and 1974. Those iconic 1970s’ teams helped give the team their moniker “Runnin’ Rebels” with their run and gun offense. The 1974 team was the best in school history with a fifth place finish in the tournament.

HILLSBORO – The Hill College Players present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) at 7:30 p.m., April 3-5, at the Vara Martin Daniel Performing Arts Center on the Hill College Campus. There will also be a 2:30 p.m., performance on Saturday, April 5. The play is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Play Publishing, Inc.
