Hill College

Student Success Initiative

All colleges and universities should have one common goal- to ensure that their students successfully reach their personal, professional and academic goals.  In Texas, our state legislature has decided to ensure that state supported institutions of higher education focus their attention on better meeting that goal.

At Hill College, we have always been focused on educating the individual, whether they were seeking one or two courses to improve their performance at work, seeking to take a few courses or finish a degree before transferring to a university or seeking to finish a certificate or degree and enter the workforce.

The new legislative focus on student success and completion has afforded us the opportunity to reassess and grow our efforts to better serve our communities.  Hill College is expanding its efforts to increase retention, increase degree/certificate attainment, decrease time to degree and increase enrollment.

Part of our expanding efforts include providing you with information that will enable you to make more informed choices about your college experience.  We encourage you to explore the Savvy Student information campaign in the menu bar on the left.  You will find information about how:

  • learning more will let you earn more
  • you can earn a degree in  one year + one semester
  • a Hill College degree can save you money
  • you can earn a degree in one year if you take 18 credits of dual credit in high school
  • our Academic Advisors and Financial Aid Specialists can help you succeed

Please continue to check back here, as we will be adding resources throughout the year.  Best of Luck in your studies.  Go Rebels!
